I am a qualified counsellor and your guide and companion on your therapeutic journey.I am passionate about people and their stories and circumstances, and have strong empathy as well as a genuine healthy curiosity. Combined with my professional training I can help you overcome issues, learn about yourself, and generally feel more content with life. My usual business model is to combine therapy with walking in nature or green urban areas. This approach increases lateral thinking, unlock more creative solutions and provides a non-threatening environment where eye contact is not required.I have worked with various presenting issues, from relationship issues, to anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and general sense of unease.

If you are finding the challenges of life overwhelming whether through bereavement, divorce, too much stress, depression, sadness, or anxiety, I can help you through these difficult times. By offering a safe, confidential place to talk freely about your concerns in a way that is rarely possible with family or friends, I can help you work through your problems to enable you to move forwards positively towards a more fulfilled, healthier and happier life. I am experienced in working with children and adults. Please feel free to call or email to discuss any queries you might have. We can set up an initial session and talk about what it is you hope to get out of counselling. If you feel you would like to continue we can arrange to meet weekly or fortnightly for as long as you need. As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I abide by their ethical framework. My clients’ best interest is at the heart of the work I do. I am led by the needs of my client. I believe the key to successful therapy lies in the supportive, professional relationship between the client and the counsellor and always strive to develop genuine mutual trust and respect.
As we resolve these issues together, my clients achieve a sense of freedom and can actually listen to their body for real clues about what food they need to attain nourishment as opposed to comfort. This is liberating and relaxing, as once you realise you’re not forcing yourself to eat a certain way, or beating yourself up about ‘naughty snacks’ - you’re actually free!
